Under the Chief Minister Punjab’s flagship program for the welfare of persons with disabilities, ceremonies were held in Hafizabad and Gujranwala for the distribution of assistive devices including wheelchairs, hearing aids, white canes, and other mobility aids. In Hafizabad, the event was organized by the Department of Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal, Pindi Bhattian, and attended by notable guests including Madam Saira Afzal Tarar, MPA Haider Ali Bhatti, and other dignitaries who praised the initiative as a commendable step toward inclusion and social justice. A similar event at the Model Children Home in Gujranwala saw the participation of Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed and other senior officials, where 21 registered individuals received wheelchairs and 2 received white canes, showcasing the government’s continued commitment to empowering persons with disabilities across Punjab.
