CM Punjab "ADWC Program", Distribution ceremony held at Rajanpur, Jhang, Bahawalnagar and Layyah

Under the Chief Minister Punjab’s Assistive Devices (Wheelchair) Program, distribution activities are ongoing across the province to provide assistive devices to persons with disabilities. The Department of Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Punjab is actively distributing wheelchairs and other assistive devices as part of its commitment to improving the quality of life and dignity of differently-abled individuals. Recent ceremonies took place in Rajanpur, Jhang, Bahawalnagar, and Layyah, with the participation of elected representatives, district administration, and social welfare officers. In Jhang, 21 assistive devices—including 17 manual and 4 pediatric wheelchairs—were distributed, while 42 wheelchairs were provided in Layyah. This initiative reflects the Punjab Government’s dedication to inclusivity and empowerment. Provincial Minister for Social Welfare, Sohail Shaukat Butt, emphasized that such efforts are ongoing under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, aiming to make Punjab a more inclusive and compassionate society.
