Under the special initiative of Chief Minister Punjab, Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif "ADWC Program", the distribution of assistive devices and wheelchairs to persons with disabilities is ongoing across Punjab. On June 4, 2025, special distribution ceremonies were held in Khanewal, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Lahore. These events were attended by distinguished public representatives, administrative officers, officials from the Social Welfare Department, civil society members, media personnel, and a large number of persons with disabilities. This initiative, being implemented under the leadership of Minister for Social Welfare Sohail Shaukat Butt, aims to empower persons with disabilities by providing them with the necessary tools to lead independent, dignified, and productive lives.
