Under the flagship program of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, assistive device distribution ceremonies were held in Vehari and Layyah to support persons with disabilities, organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Punjab. The events aimed to enhance mobility and integration of disabled individuals into society as empowered citizens. In Vehari, 124 assistive devices—including wheelchairs, mobile toilet chairs, walkers, white canes, and crutches—were distributed in the presence of public representatives and officials. A similar event in Layyah also saw the distribution of essential devices, with participation from local administration, political figures, and a large number of beneficiaries, highlighting the Punjab government's resolve to provide dignity, independence, and equal opportunities to all.
