Under the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif Assistive Devices – Wheelchair Program, special ceremonies were held in Sargodha and Gujranwala to distribute assistive devices among persons with disabilities. In Sargodha, 39 individuals received wheelchairs during a ceremony held at the Sargodha Arts Council, attended by Commissioner Jahanzeb Awan, MPA Mian Ikram-ul-Haq, and other distinguished officials. In Gujranwala, Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmad distributed wheelchairs, white canes, and other assistive devices to 52 registered individuals at the Model Children Home. He commended the Chief Minister and the Provincial Minister for Social Welfare for the welfare of persons with disabilities, emphasizing the government’s commitment to empowering them as active and respected members of society.
