A grand mass wedding ceremony under the CM Punjab "Dhee Rani Program" was held in Gujranwala, where 67 couples tied the knot. The event was attended by the Provincial Minister Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Punjab, Sohail Shaukat Butt, and the Provincial Minister Housing and Urban Development, Bilal Yasin, who congratulated the newlyweds and gave each couple a salami of Rs 100,000 along with gifts worth Rs 200,000. Several dignitaries, including Commissioner Gujranwala Syed Naveed Haider Shirazi, Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed, Director General Social Welfare Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, and Director Social Welfare Irshad Waheed, were also present. Members of the Assembly, including Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk, Syeda Nousheen Iftikhar, Imran Khalid Butt, Bilal Farooq Tarar, Chaudhry Naveed Ashraf, Chaudhry Arshad Warraich, Shazia Farid, and Saira Afzal Tarar, attended the event and expressed their support for the initiative. The ceremony brought together families from various districts, with 14 couples from Gujranwala, 27 from Hafizabad, 5 from Narowal, 5 from Gujrat, 8 from Sialkot, and 8 from Mandi Bahauddin. Notably, two non-Muslim couples also participated, showcasing the program's inclusivity. The event featured a police band performance, and guests were treated to a sumptuous meal. Minister Sohail Shaukat Butt conveyed his congratulations on behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, emphasizing the Punjab government’s commitment to social welfare and community support through initiatives like "Dhee Rani."
