Provincial Minister for Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Punjab, Sohail Shaukat Butt, formally inaugurated the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif Himmat Card Program – Phase 3. In this phase, an additional 35,000 Persons with Disabilities will be provided Himmat Cards, raising the total number of beneficiaries to 100,000. Each beneficiary will receive quarterly financial assistance of Rs. 10,500. Earlier, 40,000 cards were distributed in the first phase and 25,000 in the second. On the special instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a total of 200,000 Himmat Cards will be distributed this year to provide economic and social security and empower Persons with Disabilities. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Secretary Social Welfare Javed Akhtar Mahmood, senior officials of the department, and representatives of PITB and the Bank of Punjab.
