Provincial Minister Meets Japanese Delegation to Enhance PWDs Support Initiatives

Provincial Minister for Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Punjab, Sohail Shaukat Butt, held an important meeting with a Japanese delegation representing persons with disabilities. During the meeting, both sides agreed to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and Japan for the welfare, empowerment, and inclusion of persons with disabilities, with a focus on sharing international best practices and improving service delivery. The Japanese delegation was given a comprehensive briefing on key initiatives of the Punjab government, including the Chief Minister’s Himmat Card, the Assistive Devices Program, and the CM Special Games. Director General Social Welfare Tariq Qureshi, Milestone President Shafiq ur Rehman, CRPD Council Consultant Tahir Pervaiz, and other officials also participated in the session. The Provincial Minister expressed the government's commitment to establishing an Independent Living Center in Punjab, launching specialized training programs, and introducing world-class facilities to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities across the province.
