Meeting with the consultants of Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) was held today with Mr. Javed Akhtar Mahmood, Secretary Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department. The JICA consultants have briefed the Secretary about the different on-going activities of the “Project for Promoting Protection, Rehabilitation and Economic Empowerment of Gender-Based Violence Survivors”. This is 4 years project with Social Welfare Department and the consultant have presented first six (6) months progress report which has been found satisfactory by the Secretary. The Secretary SW&BM assured all out support and assistance to the JICA from SWD to make this project a success. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Amna Munir, Additional Secretary, SW&BM and Mr. Iftikhar Saleem Bhatti, Deputy Secretary (Technical), SW&BM.
