The third meeting of the Council on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities took place at the Punjab Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department, chaired by Provincial Minister Sohail Shoukat Butt via Zoom. Key attendees included Secretary SW&BM Javed Akhtar Mahmood, DG SW&BM Sikandar Zishan, council members and officers of the department. The meeting emphasized the approval of newly formulated rules for persons with disabilities (PWDs) and discussed the activation of Rehabilitation and Welfare Units. The Secretary proposed Special Games for PWDs under the Chief Minister’s directive, while the Minister urged prompt steps for rule approval.
