Fourth meeting of the steering committee for the "Dhi Rani Program

The fourth meeting of the steering committee for the "Dhi Rani Program" was chaired by the Provincial Minister Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Punjab, Sohail Shaukat Butt. The meeting was attended by the Chief Minister Punjab's Political Advisor, Zeeshan Malik, Secretary of Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department Javed Akhtar Mehmood, Secretary of the Women Development Department Usman Ali Khan, Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza, and other members. The primary agenda of the meeting was the approval of nearly fifty applications received from deserving couples in Lahore under the Dhee Rani Program. After detailed deliberations, these applications were approved. In the first phase, group weddings for 1,500 couples will be arranged, starting this month in Lahore. During the meeting, a Service Level Agreement was also signed between the Social Welfare Department and Punjab Bank to provide newlywed couples one hundred thousand rupees through ATM cards. DG Social Welfare Sikander Zishan and the Chief Digital Officer of Punjab Bank, Nofil Daud, briefed the steering committee regarding the preparation of the Dhi Rani Program.
