Secretary Social Welfare & Bait‑ul‑Maal Punjab, Ms. Saira Umar, took charge and reviewed the affairs of the department. She was briefed in detail on the department’s administrative structure, ongoing development projects, the Himmat Card initiative, the Dhee Rani Program, provision of wheelchairs and assistive devices for persons with disabilities, and the Chief Minister Punjab’s special welfare programs. She was also updated on the work and initiatives of the attached bodies, including the Directorate General Social Welfare & Bait‑ul‑Maal, Punjab Bait‑ul‑Maal Council, Council on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Chief Minister Complaint Cell, Punjab Women Protection Authority, and Punjab Welfare Trust for Disabled. The meetings were attended by Additional Secretary Ms. Amina Munir, DG Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, and other senior officers.
