Social Welfare Department Punjab organized a five-day training session on Gender-Based Violence Case Management in collaboration with UNFPA and ROZAN. The purpose of the training session was to provide necessary skills and training to the heads of women-related institutions of Social Welfare Department so that cases of Gender-Based Violence can be better resolved. In-charges of Dar-ul-Aman, Dar-ul-Falah, Women Crisis Center from various cities of Punjab and representatives of NGOs participated in the training. Addressing at the inaugural session, Director General Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Punjab Amina Munir said that every individual and institution in society must play their role against Gender-Based Violence to ensure women safety and protection. She added, after acquiring the said training, Social Welfare Officers will be able to handle cases of Gender-based Violence more effectively within their jurisdiction. UNFPA Provincial Head Tania Durani, Director Programs Mrs. Zaib Waseem and officers of SWD were also present at the occasion.
