The consultation meeting regarding the social welfare policy, formulated for the first time in the 75-year history, was held under the chairmanship of the Provincial Minister for Social Welfare Punjab, Prof. Dr. Javed Akram. Secretary Social Welfare & BM, Zahoor Hussain, Director General Social Welfare & BM, Muddassir Riaz Malik, and other stakeholders participated in the meeting. Deputy Director NGOs, Safdar Abbas, presented the first draft of the Social Welfare Policy to Provincial Minister. The objectives of this policy include the protection and rehabilitation of vulnerable sections, including women, children, and special persons, as well as the establishment of new institutions and the strengthening of existing ones.
