1st meeting of the Council on Rights of Persons with Disabilities(PWDs) was held under the chair of Minister Social Welfare Punjab Dr Javaid Akram. Secretary Social Welfare& Bait-ul-Maal Punjab Mr Zahoor Hussain, DG Social Welfare Muddassir Riaz Malik, administrative secretaries and other stakeholders attended the meeting. Different agendas including structure building of council, demand of funds from govt, constitution of executive & implementation committees were discussed in the meeting. The council will move a summary for the establishment of special courts for PWDs under Punjab Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Act 2022.
