The event, titled Social Mobilization Campaign on Birth Registration, was organized in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and UNICEF. The special measures taken by Social Welfare to prevent drug abuse and make women safe and skilled were highlighted. Motivational Speaker Qasim Ali Shah gave a special lecture on making birth registration mandatory. Vice Chancellors of different universities slso attended the ceremony. Director General Social Welfare Mr. Muddassir Riaz Malik congratulated on the success of the birth registration campaign. DG Social Welfare launched "ہم بہادر عورتیں" campaign to protect women from violence Director General said that every child has the right to have his name, nationality and family identity in his community which is possible only with birth registration. He further mentioned that the birth registration helps in health, inheritance and legal rights. Significant performance in the birth registration campaign shields were distributed among the exhibiting UC secretaries. And among the guests of honor who attended the function were given souvenirs by DG Social Welfare.
