Visit of Secretary Social Welfare to District Bahawalpur
M. Haroon Rafique, Secretary, Government of the Punjab, Social Welfare and Bai-ul-Maal Department visited District Bahawalpur form 14-04-2016 to 15-04-2016. During the visit, he checked the provision of medicines in patient wards, cleanliness, state of dialysis centre, availability of bio-medical treatment and issued various instructions regarding recruitment against the vacant posts and fool proof security arrangements in both THQ Hospitals Yazman and Ahmedpur East. Moreover, he inspected Women Degree College Yazman and Ahmedpur East and directed the principals to enhance the number of security cameras for full coverage of premises, arrange mock exercise in collaboration with DPO Bahawalpur. One Guard must be deployed at vantage on roof.
Secretary, Social Welfare and Bai-ul-Maal Punjab also visited various institutions i.e. Dar-ul-Atfal (Male), (Female), Dar-ul-Aman and Dar-ul-Falah of Social Welfare Department Bahawalpur. Incharges of said institutions were directed for the repairs & maintenance and cleanliness of the buildings, to install the CCTV Cameras for security measures and tree plantation.

Visit of Secretary Social Welfare to District Rawalpindi On Chief Minister’s directions, M. Haroon Rafique, Secretary, Government of the Punjab, Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department visited Rawalpindi District on 9-4-2016. He visited District Industrial Home (Santazar) and was briefed about the services, NEVTEC courses and progress of the institution. He emphasized to start different skills of international standards. Then he visited Dar ul Aman and directed Superintend to repaint the sign-boards and to depute security guards at main gate. District Officer, Social Welfare was also directed to notify Mrs. Tallat Shabbir, Manager DIH, as Focal Person of security arrangements of that complex. He also visited Kashana and Benazair Bhutto Crisis Center for Women. Then the Secretary visited Government Girls College Dhoke Kala Khan, Govt. Girls Comprehensive High School Dhoke Kashmirian, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital. He checked security measures adopted by the administration and cleanliness of the institutions. Visit of Secretary Social Welfare to District Lahore On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, M. Haroon Rafique, Secretary, Government of the Punjab, Social Welfare & Biat-ul-Maal Department visited four sites in Lahore on 08-04-2016. At first he visited Government Mian Munshi Hospital Lahore. He directed Administration of said hospital to make special arrangements for cleanliness, remain vigilant about dengue issue, and install security cameras at entrance and at the boundary wall of the hospital. Furthermore, they were directed to observe the SOPs issued by the Home Department for security purpose. After that he visited Government College for Women, Bund Raod and Government Junior Model Girls Middle School, Ibrahim Road with a special focus of SOPs issued by Home Department for the security of educational institutions. Then the Secretary visited Dar-ul-Aman (DUA). The repair and maintenance of DUA was in progress. The Superintendent DUA was directed to improve cleanliness situation and make better arrangements at the entrance of DUA. Anti-dengue Awareness Walk
On the special directions of Government of the Punjab, Directorate General of Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal conducted anti-dengue awareness walk on 06-04-2016. The walk was lead by Rana Muhammad Arshad, Directorat General of the Directorate. Muhammad Shafique Awan, Director (Admn); Muhammad Suleman, Director (P&E); Mr. Irshad Waheed, Director (Program); all officers and officials of the Directorate participated in the event. Haroon Rafique, Secretary, Government of the Punjab , Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department visited District Sargodha on 02.04.2016 in compliance vide S&GAD letter No.PS/SECY/(I&C)S&GAD/2016 dated 24.02.2016. He visited DHQ Teaching Hospital, Sargodha; Govt. Girls Comprehensive H/S Sargodha; Government Junior Model School D-Block, Satellite Town, Sargodha; District Industrial Home (Sanatzar) Sargodha and Dar-ul-Aman Sargodha. He inspected security measures, cleanliness and other issues in detail. Manager Sanatzar was directed to introduce new skills as per demand of the area. While the Superintendent Dar-ul-Aman was instructed to follow up the repair of building and mange repaint of all sign boards highlighting the name of the Department immediately. Visit of Secretary Social Welfare to Pindi Bhatian District Hafizabad
In the wake of recent terrorist attacks on different public places; schools, universities and public service delivery institutions are supposed to arrange fool proof security arrangement. In the light of national action plan, Muhammad Haroon Rafique, Secretary, Government of the Punjab, Social Welfare and Bai-ul-Maal Department visited Tehsil Pindi Bhattian District Hafizabad on April 1, 2016. He visited Govt. Boys Degree College, Pindi Bhattian, Hafizabad; Govt. College of Technology Pindi Bhattian, Hafizabad; Govt. Girls Degree College Pindi Bhattian, Hafizabad; Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Main Bazar, Pindi Bhattian, Hafizabad and Tehsil Head Quarter Hospital, Pindi Bhattian, Hafizabad to monitor the security arrangements and available services. He also visited Brick Kiln to evaluate the implementation of child labors laws. An NGO, Anjuman Islah-ul-Muslimeen Pindi Bhattain, Hafizabad was also visited this day by the Secretary. M. Haroon Rafique, Secretary, Government of the Punjab, Social Welfare & Bait ul Maal Department visited Shakargarh District Narowal on 18.03.2016. He visited office of Deputy District Officer SWD Shakargarh and MSO THQ Shakargarh, THQ hospital Shakargarh, Govt. Girls Degree College Shakargarh and Govt. Higher Secondary School Shakargarh. During visit, he inspected security measures, cleanliness, facilities available and other issues. | Mar 04, 2016 | Visit of Secretary Social Welfare to District Chakwal Muhammad Haroon Rafiq, Secretary, Government of the Punjab, Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department visited District Chakwal on 04-03-2016 and inspected under construction building of Dar-ul-Aman. District Coordination was asked for intervention and timely installation of Sui Gas and Electricity connections. He directed District Officer, Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal, Chakwal to expedite the civil work of building so that the building can be taken over and overhead cost can be avoided. | Feb 01, 2016 | Visit of District Mandi Bahauddin by Director General Social Welfare Punjab Rana Muhammad Arshad, Director General, Directorate General of Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal, Punjab visited District Mandi Bahauddin on 01-02-2016. He inspected the under construction building of Dar-ul-Aman and directed Building Department officials to speed up the work of construction. After that he visited District Industrial Home (Sanatzar ) Mandi Bahauddin and showed satisfaction on running classes/ courses of Sanatzar and NAVTAC project. He directed Manager D.I.H. to improve the cleanliness of rooms and repair of walls of some portions. He further directed DO (SW) to pursue the case of building repair from Building Department. Then he visited Dar-ul-Amaan (working in rented building) and checked the security measures adopted by the Superintendent Dar-ul-Amaan with the direction to improve cleanliness and security of the institution. | Jan 27, 2016 | Visit of District Attock by Secretary Social Welfare
Muhammad Haroon Rafique, Secretary, Government of the Punjab, Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department visited District Attock on 27-01-2016 and inspected under construction building of Dar-ul-Aman. He directed SDO Building Department to complete the construction work including installation of electricity and gas meters till 15-02-2016. He also directed DO, Social Welfare, Attock to keep an eye on the construction work and for tree plantation in newly constructed building of Dar-ul-Aman.
After that Secretary visited current Dar-ul-Aman (working in rented building). He examined the implementation status of protection guidelines (circulated for the protection of resident’s rights) and inspected security measures adopted by Superintendent, Dar-ul-Aman, Attock. He also visited District Industrial Home and showed satisfaction on vocational training classes and hand work displayed in the show room of District Industrial Home (D.I.H). He directed Manager, D.I.H to make necessary arrangements for cleanliness and security of the institution.

He checked the work and material of building and directed SDO of Building Department to complete the remaining work of construction within current financial year. Inspection of Under Construction Building of Shelter Home (Dar-ul-Aman) Okara by Secretary, Social Welfare
M. Haroon Rafique, Secretary, Government of the Punjab, Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department inspected the under construction building of Shelter Home (Dar-ul-aman), Okara on 07.01.2016 along with Executive District Officer, Community Development; District Officer, Planning and Manager, D.I.H. (Sanatzar) OKara. Superintendent, Shelter Home (Dar-ul-aman) OKara; Overseers, Provincial Building Okara and Contractor of the Building were also there.
During inspection, the secretary instructed to improve the quality of windows and doors; finish work of windows, doors, floor, and kitchen slabs; install electrical and gas appliances; and to hand over the building to Social Welfare Department within one month after completion. He also instructed Superintendent, Shelter Home and District Officer Social Welfare to prepare the case for approval of installation of CC TV cameras in Shelter Home.
