The Punjab government has introduced a new benefit under the "Himmat Card" initiative, enabling persons with disabilities to travel for free on the Orange Line Metro Train and Metro Bus services. This initiative, a gift from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is aimed at improving accessibility for disabled individuals across the province. In a formal ceremony, the program was launched by Provincial Minister Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Sohail Shaukat Butt and Minister Transport Bilal Akbar Khan. Secretary Social Welfare Javed Akhtar Mahmood and Director General Social Welfare Khawaja Muhammad Sikandar Zishan were also present.
