A meeting of the COUNCIL ON RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES was chaired by Minister Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Punjab Sohail Shaukat Butt. Secretary Social Welfare Department Punjab Iqbal Hussain Khan, Secretary Women Development Sumaira Samad, Council members, DG SW&BM Amina Munir and key stakeholders attended the meeting. Different agendas were discussed in the meeting including confirmation of previous meeting's minutes, proposals for new policies and initiatives, approval of administrative& financial matters, draft Rules, implementation of 3% Job Quota for PWDs and Human Resource Management for council. The council reiterated its commitment to promoting and ensuring the effective inclusion of PWDs and protecting their rights in line with the CONSTITUTION OF PAKISTAN and the "PUNJAB EMPOWERMENT OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT 2022".
