Punjab Welfare Trust for the Disabled (PWTD) convened its 33rd Board of Governors meeting reaffirming its commitment to improving the lives of persons with disabilities (PWDs) across Punjab. The meeting was chaired by Secretary Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department Punjab/Vice President of BoG Iqbal Hussain in the presence of board members, Honorary MD Dr Amjad Saqib and DG SW&BM Punjab Amina Munir. Board was briefed that PWTD as a funding and facilitating body is annually strengthening 100+ NGOs and 23 lac PWDs across the province. Ongoing projects and new initiatives including provision of assistive devices and microfinance for the persons with disabilities were discussed in the meeting. Secretary SWD assured to improve resource management for the trust including an increase in the endowment fund and timely release of the annual grant.
