Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab "Dhee Rani Program" a dignified mass wedding ceremony was held in District Narowal, where 101 deserving couples were married in a respectful and joyful event. Federal Minister for Planning & Development Prof. Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry, Provincial Minister for Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Punjab Sohail Shaukat Butt, and Chairman Punjab Bait-ul-Maal Khawaja Muhammad Waseem Butt attended as chief guests. On the behalf of Chief Minister, each couple received Rs. 200,000 as a Salami through ATM cards under the Dhee Rani Program. The guests said that the program shows the government’s care and responsibility towards daughters and helps secure their future without discrimination of religion or background. Provincial Minister Sohail Shaukat Butt said that the Dhee Rani Program is very close to the Chief Minister’s heart and is helping thousands of families across Punjab. He called it strong support for poor and deserving parents. Secretary Social Welfare Ms. Saira Umar, district administration officials, and officers of the Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department were also present at the ceremony.
