Two separate meetings were held on the same day under the chairpersonship of Secretary Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department Punjab, Ms. Saira Omar. In the first meeting, matters related to Sanatzars were discussed in detail. All Divisional Directors, Deputy Directors, and Managers of Sanatzars participated via Zoom. Proposals regarding the revamping of Sanatzars to further empower women through skill development and economic self-reliance were reviewed. Administrative matters were also deliberated, and key decisions were taken, including the establishment of a Project Management Unit (PMU) for restructuring and improvement. Additional Secretary Ms. Amina Munir, Director Planning Mr. Muhammad Suleman, and other officers attended the meeting. In the second meeting, departmental affairs of the Punjab Bait-ul-Maal Council were reviewed. The rules, regulations, and overall performance of the Council were discussed in detail. A comprehensive briefing was given on the process of receiving applications, registration, and disbursement of financial assistance. The Secretary directed that the Punjab Bait-ul-Maal portal (bm.punjab.gov.pk) be updated at the earliest in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
