A significant meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Saira Omar, Secretary of Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department Punjab, to review the performance of VAWC Multan, the 13 protection centers established in other districts, and the Women Helpline 1737. The meeting was attended by the Director General of Punjab Women Protection Authority and other relevant officials. Progress on decisions taken in the previous meeting was also shared. The Secretary of Social Welfare directed that the helpline be made fully operational and that other matters be implemented effectively to further improve service delivery. To ensure efficient monitoring, the Secretary instructed the formation of a sub-committee that will hold weekly meetings and provide regular updates to the Secretary on progress.
