A meeting was held under the chairpersonship of Secretary Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department Punjab, Saira Omer, regarding the activation of Women Helpline 1737 across the province. The meeting was attended by representatives of UNFPA and the Director General Punjab Women Protection Authority. During the meeting, discussions were held on making the helpline fully operational in an effective manner to ensure the timely redressal of women’s complaints and the resolution of issues faced by them. Various administrative and technical aspects were also discussed to facilitate the smooth functioning of the helpline. It was decided that a follow-up meeting will be convened after three days to review the progress made in this regard.
