An important meeting of the Social Welfare Department was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal, Sohail Shoukat Butt, in which detailed consultations were conducted regarding the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2026-27. During the meeting, the Provincial Minister also approved the final draft of the Annual Development Programme. During the session, Secretary Social Welfare, Saira Umar, briefed the participants in detail on the proposed development projects and departmental priorities. On this occasion, Director General Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal, Dr. Shahinshah Faisal Azim, along with other directors of the department, also attended the meeting. Addressing the meeting, Provincial Minister Sohail Shaukat Butt stated that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the development projects of the Social Welfare Department will ensure the welfare and well-being of vulnerable and deserving segments of society. He emphasized that the government is taking practical steps for the betterment of the poor and underprivileged. He further stated that in the new fiscal year, welfare projects will be made more effective and result-oriented.
