The Secretary inspected ADP Schemes of Social Welfare Department namely “Establishment of Model Children Home at Faisalabad (ADP No.996)” which has been completed and handed over to department on 03.04.2015 and “Establishment of Qasar-e-Behbood at Chak No.224/RB Faisalabad (ADP No.643). | Dec 08, 2015 | Cabinet's Sub Committee Meeting A meeting of Cabinet's Sub Committee was held on 08-12-2015 under the chairmanship of Syed Haroon Ahmed Sultan Bokhari, Minister, Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal, Punjab in the committee room of Directorate General Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal, Punjab. In the meeting the Committee approved "Provincial Policy for Persons with Disabilities, Punjab" with the decision that it will be once again shared with relevant stakeholders and line departments. Meeting of Provincial Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons
A meeting of Provincial Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons held under the Chairmanship of Secretary, Government of the Punjab, Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department on 26-11-2015 at 11 a.m. Mrs. Shaheen Atiqur Rehman, Vice Chairperson, Bunyad Foundation; Mian Tariq, MPA; Justice Amir Raza, President, Ameen Maktab; Dr. Izhar Hashmi, Director, Punjab Welfare Trust for Disabled; Mr. Sohail Anwar, CEO, Social Protection Authority; Mr. Irshad Waheed, Director (Prog.) and representatives from Planning & Development, Higher Education, Zakat & Ushar, Labour & Human Rights, Lahore Chamber of Commerce, Trade Unions, Information & Culture also attended the meeting. The Council took several legislative and policy measures to assist Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) including deliberation of Guidelines for Assessment and Identification of persons with disabilities. Draft of Provincial policy for Persons with Disabilities is under consideration with the Council. The Council member appreciated and acknowledged the efforts of Social Welfare Departmentmade for the employment of persons with disabilities both in public and private sector. |

Inspection of Qasar-e-Behbood (ADP Scheme), Muzaffargarh by Worthy Secretary
M. Haroon Rafique, Secretary, Government of the Punjab, Social Welfare & Bait-ul- Maal Department visited District Muzaffargarh on 23-11-2015 and inspected the construction work of Qasar-e-Behbood (ADP Scheme) and instructed to complete the work within time frame by using Standardized material as per specifications. He also visited Dar-ul-Aman and Sanatzar, Muzaffargarh.
