Provincial Minister for Social Welfare Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari participated in a program to help children due to nutrition deficiency at Lady Echison Hospital Lahore. On the occasion, other than Medical Superintendent Dr. Iqbal Khawaja, there were also a special personalities. Gift packs distributed among mothers and children at the event.
The provincial minister congratulated the team on completion of one year of the anti-stunting program and said that the nation needs healthy children not metro bus. If the mother and child are healthy, the nation will be healthy. Due to lack of nutrition, children are more affected by diseases. They happen and unfortunately, the number of such children in Pakistan is very high. Yawar Abbas Bukhari said that the work of service is not possible without the spirit of human sympathy. In this way, the government is providing necessary facilities and suitable environment to the welfare department. He declared the plan to establish mother child hospitals in 6 districts as an important milestone and said that this initiative will bring more successes to the anti-stunting program that will raise a healthy generation.
