Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Human Rights Centers for Women (Crisis Centers)

;;Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Human Rights Centers for Women were established by the Federal Government but after 18th amendment to the constitution, these centers were devolved to the Government of Punjab in 2014. There are total 12 crisis centers (Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Muzaffargarh, Khushab, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Mianwali, Sialkot and Vehari) working under the Department of Social welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Punjab. The centers are established with the objective to protect women against all forms of violence and to eliminate every type of discrimination against women.

Eligibility Criteria

The Centers are working as one stop shop, walk-in centers. Any woman victim of violence and abuse can get free of cost services from the Human Rights Crisis Centers for Women.

Services

  • Crisis management & safety planning for survivor of violence.
  • Social and psychological support for survivor and family
  • Referral for safe shelter
  • Legal advice and legal aid.
  • Liaison with law enforcement agencies competent to redress grievances of women at individual and collective levels, especially those concerned with combating violence against women.
